Villa dell'Angelo

Villa dell’Angelo was built in the second half of the 18th century surrounded by eighteen acres of woodland and Olive groves on the green hills lining the valley called Valdinievole, just a short distance from Montecatini and Monsummano Terme. The owners have carried out a rigorous and accurate renovation using only materials (such as stone) from the surrounding area and period while ensuring a structure which respects the norms of bio-architecture. Spectacular 360° views from the garden over the surrounding hills can be admired. A very peaceful position, the villa is ideally located midway in between Pisa and Florence, perfect for sightseeing.

At guests’ disposal is a private swimming pool with spill-over edge and counter-current swimming, there is also a hydromassage area for eight people. A changing room, WC and shower are situated on a natural terrace a few meters below the level of the villa which is equipped with tables, sun-loungers and chairs. Antique ornaments, paintings, period doors, prints, and persian carpets fill the villa paying homage to the villa’s history. On the other hand, the house has every possible modern comfort. The villa also offers a complimentary welcome basket (homemade pasta sources, pasta, salad, bread and parmesan cheese with Chianti wine, toasted bread, croissants, marmalade, cereals, honey, butter, fruit juice, coffee, milk, tea, sugar and water) plus two hours cleaning/once a week on a Wednesday.

Independent heating and air-conditioning in all the rooms. Cot, highchair and three mountain bikes are available. The house is equipped with an alarm system and Wi-Fi. Parking on-site for up to five cars.

On the ground floor is the entrance with central sitting room (satellite TV, DVD player) with double sofa bed, large lounge/dining room with 16th Century Lombard fireplace in stone and double doors leading into the garden. The Kitchen makes use of an antique style stove with six hobs, two ovens, side-by-side fridge with icemaker, toaster, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and extractor fan. There is also an antique fireplace in stone (pietra serena). There is a dining table for eight people and access to a veranda equipped for al fresco eating. The villa has a double bedroom with a 17th Century fireplace and access to an equipped veranda and an ensuite hydro shower. A laundry room facilitates a washing machine, two irons and an ironing board. On the first floor there is a double bedroom with two windows and one bathroom with a Turkish bath and hydro shower; one double bedroom with one bathroom with multifunctional Jacuzzi tub and shower with chromo therapy. This bedroom shares the bathroom with a twin bedroom. All windows have mosquito screens. All beds have patented Waterlily mattresses to ensure maximum comfort and hairdryers in all bathrooms. 

The closest town is 4 km away, Monsummano Terme (any kind of shops, Spa), 6 km Montecatini Terme (Spa, golf course), 38 km Lucca, 55 km Florence, 60 km Versilia.
