Overview
Villa Il Moraiolo is the perfect place to find yourself, where time seems to stand still and where one can discover the simple essence of life in the quiet countryside 10 km from Todi, 30 km from Perugia, 40 km from Assisi and 50 km away from Lake Trasimeno. This beautiful farmhouse recently restored and transformed, thanks to a skilful restoration project, into an elegant and refined country residence set amid the hills rich in olive groves in the Umbrian countryside, in a particularly interesting geographic position that allows to easily visit both Umbria or Rome, which is 150 km away. The city of Deruta, famous all over the word for handcrafted ceramics, is just 15 km away as well as the nearby village of Montecastello which also has aspects of considerable historic interest, starting with the nineteenth-century theatre which is held to be the smallest in the world.
Villa Il Moraiolo is part of a small complex featuring three cosy farmhouses (Villa Il Nocino and Villa Il Roseto) that combine the Umbrian tradition with modern conveniences (wireless internet, TV, air conditioning and more).
The Villa is arranged over two floors plus a mansard with large finely furnished rooms. It has two spacious kitchens, a living room with fireplace, 4 double bedrooms with private bathrooms and a double bed in the mansard. One bedroom is characterized by a wide glass window overlooking the garden.
The house is equipped with a porch and a stone oven which gives the feeling of living in the past, and offers a perfect balance to live in contact with nature and enjoy the pleasures of life.
A large covered panoramic terrace, surrounded by a well-kept garden with barbecue, allows you to dine in the evening next to the wonderful infinity-pool while admiring the sunset behind the hills.
The house is characterized by a very well-kept garden and a beautiful swimming pool with inifinity edge (7x13, 1,4-1,8 m deep)(18/05-30/09), countercurrent swimming system, outdoor shower, built in barbecue, from where you can enjoy a particularly beautiful and extensive view of the valley. Guest can also have dinner on a beautiful covered terrace near the swimming pool, where they can admire the sunset on the surrounding hills.
On request and upon payment guest have also at their disposal a wellness center (closed in July and August), shared with the other two houses, with exclusive use in rotation, which includes Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, relax and massage area.
ACCOMMODATION: (300 m2) Ground floor: living room (satellite TV)with fireplace and access onto a covered terrace with a large table for outdoor dining and wood-burning oven, dining room with characteristic built-in kitchen worktop counter (washing machine, dishwasher, freezer, microwave, small appliances), 1 double bedroom, characterized by a very large glass window that faces the garden, with bathroom with shower. 1st Floor: (access from the living room or by an external staircase): 3 double bedrooms each with bathroom with shower, hallway with access onto a panoramic terrace that is covered and equipped. Attic floor: cosy area suitable for young people (1.75 m height) with two beds.
