Overview
Villa Castello Loggiato is a typical example of a Tuscan medieval castle, dating back to the 12th century, built by the architect Buondelmonti as a fortification to defend the feudal possessions. Transformed into a country villa in 1520, with large, decorated rooms and elegant arcades, the castle is perched on a steep hill overlooking the steep overhangs of a green valley, in a panoramic position, in the heart of the Chianti Classico. In the valley in front of Villa Castello Loggiato is the famous Antinori winery, the largest in Europe and open to the public with a restaurant and tasting rooms.
The living rooms are furnished with period furniture, some bedrooms have original antiques, the bedrooms on the mezzanine level are equipped and also so are the bathrooms. The kitchen is also well equipped.
Outside, guests have at their disposal an exclusive fenced-in equipped lawn (350 m2) with octagon-shaped swimming pool. The location is quiet despite that the Florence-Siena expressway runs at bottom of the valley. Included in the price: mandatory maid service for 24 hours/week. The villa is equipped with Wi-Fi internet connection, air conditioning in 7 rooms, and baby-bed.
