Overview
Villa Montaperti is a typical 19th-century villa set on the top of a hill in the countryside of Volterra. The entire area features a most characteristic landscape in which rolling hills cultivated with cereals map out sinuous patterns that captivate the fantasy of keen photographers. Before us, against the background of this stunning panorama, we can see the Etruscan city of Volterra, and the sun going down behind it offers a uniquely magnificent spectacle. As well as the city of Volterra steeped in its Etruscan past, San Gimignano with its towers is also within extremely easy reach. In Volterra visitors have no choice but to buy a reproduction of the famous Etruscan statuette called the Ombra della Sera (Shadow of the Evening) which will remain a permanent reminder of your holiday after you return home.
The villa has been stylishly renovated, leaving intact the original 19th-century structure as well as many of the floors and ceilings. There is also a small chapel belonging to the property. There is a large garden bordering on an olive grove surrounding the house, while a little lower down is the swimming pool, with outdoor shower, gazebo, table and chairs and sun loungers. Guests can thus enjoy lunching in the open air, savouring the produce grown on the farm. The villa is fully equipped with central heating, wi fi internet connection and air conditioning in the second-floor bedrooms. Parking available also.
